Missing dog (Day 56)

I got 2 (Popi & Rooney) dogs. Both of them are kinda wild (not biting ppl wild) and very very naughty. My uncle brought them from his fren 5yrs ago, they were so cute and small back then. Today around evening we found out that Popi didn't return home. We search around the house but he's still missing. Here, if a dog didn't return home for a day in winter will mean only one thing, he's got eaten by dog eater :( hope he return home soon. Day 56.

Pride of Manipur (Day 55)

Today Suranjoy & Mary Kom lost their respective weight category (Boxing) Semi-Final against China opposition and settle for Bronze medal @ Asian Games. They are the pride of Manipur who do well in almost all the competition they took part. This time around they did well too but since this year asian games were held in China, they got the advantages of home crowd. Best wishes to both player :) Day 55.

Delay illness (Day 54)

7:00pm (sharp), 3:00pm (sharp), 10:00am (sharp). . . . . Almost all of the invitation, ticket for some event in Manipur will all bear the word "sharp" after the time of the event, and my question is why would they put it there ?? There's no way any organiser will honour the meaning of the word. I've been to numerous event, and almost every event will start atleast 1hr after the actually timing. About 8yrs back there was this event near our place, on ticket the start timing was 7:00pm (sharp) but they won't start the event till midnight so i went home pissed with the organiser. That delay illness is so contagious that even when we (among frens) organised a lunch party or something, we end up postponing the event to next day cuz of delaying things around. I'm not saying i'm perfect, i also do some delaying on things too but i can see that this delaying illness that are spreading among the youth of today is dangerous. Hope we don't make this not so good habit ruin our lives. Day 54.

Bryan Adams !! here i come :) (Day 53)

Who would believe me if i say i'm going to a Bryan Adams concert to my friends here? no one would. That is cuz i have never travel outside our state. Yes, i'm 23 but haven't sit on an airplane before. Lets get to the point, so 3 days back i heard about Bryan Adams coming to India in Feb next year and playing some gig. He's one of my fav artist and this visit might become his last or whatever. So, this is my one chance to see him !! I told my friend's bro about the concert jokingly and he was like "lets watch it, i'm going to Delhi anyway to buy some toys for my shop". That small talk gonna take a giant leap on my life :P Today, i have bought the ticket for the gig online. It cost 4270 (Indian Rupee) for 2 tickets. Cannot believe i'm gonna travel out of my state for the first time to see a concert, i'm so cool :D "Delhi Khongchat" is on. Day 53.

Asian Games is on ?? (Day 52)

Oi, i just found out today that Asian Games is already started. This is so not cool, i was suppose to follow the games religiously but i completely forgot about it. Upto now India got 6 Gold, 11 Silver and 16 Bronze medal, with China leading the lot. I should start watching the games from tomorrow. Now i'm off to sleep :) Come on India !! Day 52.

Rock vs HipHop (Day 51)

Rock vs HipHop !! Sounds cool right ?? Yes, it is cool. Whats more cooler than that is police commando beating up the audience. Maybe a canceled concert is way more cooler than both. *full of sarcasm* Like Rockfest, i have been planning to see this concert for months. Even that Manipuri song concert were a trail run for me, to see how it feels to attend a gig @ B.O.A.T. (yes, i have never been to B.O.A.T. before). We reach late at the venue and they have already canceled the gig saying police commando start beating some of the audience and they stopped the concert too. I don't know the exact situation but i think some drunk audience start fighting and to control the crowd police stopped the concert. My last concert for the year goes down the drain. Good night. Day 51.

Pottermania (Day 50)

Every Potter mania have been waiting for this day, the release day of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (Part 1). As always i won't be able to see the movies until they release it on dvd but as everyone i'm super excited. This is the 1st installment of Harry Potter last book, 2nd installment will release on 2011 and i'm planning to watch first day first show that time. When i first start reading Harry Potter series, i wasn't really a kid. I must be around 18yrs old. To be honest, i thought itz a kid book earlier but when start reading out of curiousity i got hooked to it and the good thing is i start reading it right before "Half Blood Prince" (book) were about to get release which catapult my interest to the series even higher. Upto now i have read the complete series 5/6 times. when i first started, 50 seems big number but today i'm writing my 50th blog post. I'm proud of me ;) Day 50.

(un)creative (Day 49)

Ahhh, it is one of those days when nothing seems good to write. Maybe i'm just not inspired enough to write but the thing is there's nothing to inspired i write here on my blog, it should be just something which i saw or heard about it during the day. It just not my day. Sayonara :) Day 49.

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

Amazing Dan (Day 48)

I have read all of Dan Brown books except his latest work "The Lost Symbol". I wanted to buy it when it first came out to book stores but it was out of reach for me (you know, kinda pricey) but today i'm holding one in my hands (yup, i borrow it from a fren). Soon i'll drown my thoughts in Symbol, conspiracy theories, secret society and everything that Robert Langdon says. This is his 3rd book with Robert Langdon in it (The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and The Lost Symbol). Without his controversial book "The Da Vinci Code", i'd never know who Dan Brown is. Well thanks to a fren who let me borrow it ;)

off to read.

Day 48.

Ningol Khudol (Day 47)

We got some ticket for a Manipuri song concert 'Ningol Khudol' @ B.O.A.T. and since we got the ticket for free, me and some of my buddies went there. Itz my first, i have never seen a Manipuri song concert (for real !!). We thought it would be fun but we thought wrong. This concert were organised by 'Global Wing' (networking business) who forgot to invite some of the best singer of our state, the concert were so lame that even some random member of the organiser started singing some oldies. 4 member sing the same song again n again, so we return home after spendin just 30min at the concert. I solemnly swear i'd never watch Manipuri song concert ever again. Btw Mandakini's 'waka waka' did light up the audience ;)
This Time for Manipur.

Day 47.

Mobile Service (Day 46)

I have bought 5 sim card of different service provider in past months in search of an ideal provider who can provide me with faster and reliable GPRS connection. Airtel, Aircel, Vodafone, Idea, B.S.N.L, Reliance.

Airtel: faster net connection but signal lost around midnight and since i'm a night owl, itz kinda frustrating.

Aircel: net medium speed, no signal lost at night time but net regularly cut off in matter of minutes. Not ideal for downloads.

Vodafone: very good for surfing, i do fb-ing, orkuting, tweeting using their internet pack. The low point about vodafone is that i can't surf web base site, i can only surf the wap version.

Idea: itz new in market so lots of problem in activating GPRS pack and all. The other day i activate their 10rs pack and surf like i also do and at the end of day i spend all of my balance from my main balance. They charge for the pack and never activate.

BSNL: its the fastest of all with 3G connection, even their GPRS is best of all but since its a government run provider, it lacks something. I found that they are always low on signal.

Reliance: lets not talk about reliance. They still did their account on paper. customer service is shit. Not interested.

Day 46.

The day that wasn't (Day 45)

I'm thinking today is the darkest (sporting) day of my life. It was suppose to be a joyous day but my fav F1 team "Ferrari" driver Fernando Alonso finished 7th at the final race (Abu Dhabi) and lost the championship to Sebastien Vettel (Red Bull) by 4points. Only Chelsea could have pull me up on a day like this but what can i say, i don't even want to remember the match. Both of my fav team let me down today. To finish off the bad day on high note i could only say that next season Alonso & Massa will make me proud and on Chelsea all i can say is there's many matches to play and i know we will do good. Day 45.

TWLOHA (Day 44)

Today is TWLOHA's day. It stands for "To Write LOVE On Her Arm", its an American Non-Profit organisation with a sole purpose to help present hope for people struggling with addiction, depression, self injury and thought of suicide. The small idea to help one person by Jamie Tworkowski turns into an inspiration for many to help live. Its been a yr since i first came to know about this org. I saw a fren -who were good to me when i was a bit depressed and was into self injury and having a thought of suicide- upload a pic on her twitpic account, Love written on her arm. I google it and found out about TWLOHA and how some of the famous musician were supporting it. for pete's sake it was an org. who helps people like myself (back then) so, itz kinda normal for me to like it and I even posted a pic with "Love" written on my arms to support the TWLOHA movement. If you are depressed and are kinda get thoughts of suicide, then talk with your frens or someone who is close to you. There's lots of people who are willing to listen and give comforting words. Suicide is not the solution. LOVE IS THE MOVEMENT !! Day 44.

Sonia visit (Day 43)

Chairperson of the U.P.A (Ruling government of India) Sonia Gandhi visited Manipur today and inaugurate our new 3 women's market (Ema/Nupi Keithel) and sanction 75crore of rupees to construct 3 more new women's market here. All for the good cause, with corruption on sky high most of the money will go to someone's personal account. Ibobi's goverment is becoming the most corrupted goverment of our time but i got a soft spot for him. He may be corrupted in some way but i see a lot of changes (infrastructure wise) in Manipur which is good. Atleast when some uncorrupted party take over the office, they don't have to focus on infrastructure. And speaking of Sonia Gandhi, if a leader from Delhi visit Manipur every 6months our Imphal city will become the cleanest city of India. Amen. Day 43.

Thursday, November 11, 2010

I didn't see anything (Day 42)

I saw a funny thing in News today. Sonia Gandhi will visit our state tomorrow, cuz of that our state government is doing everything to clean up the city. Fresh paint of walls, road divider, traffic point and government buildings. Frisking by police doubled and places that Sonia will visit are off limit to civilian. The really funny part is they planted some new fully grown plants around the city for temporary. Yes, you heard it right. The plants roots are still wraped by plastic bag, they dig some soil put the plants with the plastic still wraped and cover it with some soil. I know Sonia visit is important to our state and they will do everything to impressed her but don't ya think this kinda temporary thingy for her is a bit insulting to us?? The government literally selling us in front of our fellow countrymen. Day 42.

Day 2 of Rockfest (Day 41)

Rockfest day 2 were suppose to be fun with guest artist, the winner of Rockfest 09 "Cleave" and the assurance from the organiser that the sound will be much better this time around but as we enjoyed a bit too much on last night gig we all are dead tired today. So, with heavy heart we had to let go of the Rockfest day 2 gig. All day didn't go to waste though, right now i'm on my bed listening to "Cleave" performance !! A+ for living near the gig venue ;) btw winner of this yr gig will be known tomorrow as i'm off to sleep now. Day 41.

Manipur Rockfest 2010 (Day 40)

There i was, head banging to some random heavy metal songs on a park -live performance- and suddenly i realized it is my first ever concert. So, itz really worth remember the day. We have been planning to attend this "Manipur Rockfest 2010" for a month now cuz my fren's little bro is taking part in it. Today earlier i bailed out of it and they were pissed but i thought 'what the hell' and joined them. We managed to buy 3ticket (yes, my fren's bro is a participant but no extra ticket for us) and we (6) manage to get in, undetected. Uttam were rocking the house when we went inside soon after that all the contestant played 3/4songs with an original number. In my view 'Kanglasha' & 'Chem weed FM' played really well and my fren's bro's band (dark distortion) were very unlucky to face a technical failure during the play and their vocal were a low point of for them but their original song were very good even with some technical failure again. Over all the Rockfest Day 1 rocks but i hope they fix the technical issues in day 2 and the sounds too. Over and out. Day 40.

Monday, November 8, 2010

Ningol Chakouba (Day 39)

To all women out there i wish you all a happy 'Ningol Chakouba'. It is the biggest festival of Manipur and it celebrates women. On this day our family with our married sisters will have a lunch together and will send them home with gifts. When our sisters get married and become parts of another family, this festival 'ningol chakouba' of Manipur will strengthen the bonds of our family. Btw with all the eating today, i'm off to sleep :P Day 39.

Sunday, November 7, 2010

Chelsea vs Liverpool (Day 38)

Today in Barclays Premier League, we (Chelsea) played a super sunday fixture against Liverpool. Liverpool were struggling near the bottom of the table and Chelsea were 2 points clear at the top with a game in hand but this game was not an easy game for us as Liverpool are looking to start afresh and got nothing to lose at the moment and Chelsea got everythin to lose. Well we play like shit on 1st half and let Fernando Torres regain his form, a vital mistake as even though we played good at 2nd half it wasn't enough besides luck wasn't on our side. I'm little pissed that we lost but it feels little good that we helped Liverpool get the confidence that they should have in their fight from relegation. Day 38.

Saturday, November 6, 2010

Diwali (Day 37)

HAPPY DIWALI to you all !! For those of you who doesn't know, it is one of the biggest festival in India. We called it the "festival of lights". And the best part of it is we don't even had a loadshedding today, itz a win-win situation. ;) So, as always we all went out drive around the city to see the lights and people and some fireworks (best view of fireworks - my place, upstairs) but this year, it wasn't that fun like last year. We didn't even use fireworks last year. Is it just me or the world just getting bored year by year :P Namaste. Day 37.

Friday, November 5, 2010

Everything Chelsea FC (Day 36)

Chelsea Football Club, what can i say about the club? Itz the champion of English Football and soon will conquer the European Champions League. when deciding which team you wanna support from English Premier League, 96% of fan living outside England will choose it from top 4 team of the league. So, when my time came to choose my team from Premier League (that was in 2003) i choose two teams - Liverpool (cuz of Gerrard) and Chelsea (cuz blue is my fav colour) - from the top 4 team. My support for Chelsea was cement when my fav footballer "Michael Ballack" moved to Chelsea from Bayern Munich in 2006, thats after 2 back to back title and i was proud enough to say i followed the best Football Club of the world before they win their 2nd Premier League title in 50yrs. We have already won 3 title in 6 season, we haven't won a league title for 50yrs and won 3 after i start followin the team. Just coincidence ?? Nope, i'm Chelsea FC's lucky charm ;) My dream is to watch Chelsea's match at the Bridge singing 'Blue is the colour' but since i live in India, the nearest i could be with ChelseaFC is the merchandise but since there's no Chelsea megastore in India (it would be nice if ChelseaFC gives something back to India's fan too) so, today i was searching for some wrist band and found a store which sell club merchandise (YES !!). There wasn't much of Chelsea's product, i bought 3 wrist band, 1 id card holder and some stickers. you know there's a lot of things of Manure United so i was little pissed and ask the owner of the shop why he didn't keep more chelsea's product and he told me that itz cuz Chelsea things are sold out faster. I was kinda happy that there's many of us than manure's ;) Keep the Blue flag flying high !! Day 36.

(un)whiz kid (Day 35)

There was a time when my computer crashed and i went all tense cuz i had no idea how to fix it. I'd run here and there, took my pc to this pc store. They will fixed it but after charging me 500rs for just formating my PC with a pirated copy of WindowsXP. Since then i have learned everything about computer, you won't believe but i even build a running website (my group website, yeah yeah we were kinda cool back then) and do all kinda things those whiz kid do at their computer. Somewhere along my computer whiz kid moment someone told me to choose computer as a career line, that freak me out cuz i wasn't planning that and i wanted to do something else. Fast forwarding to 7yrs, here i am unable to fix my old pc and without that something else. . . . . If only. Day 35.

Wednesday, November 3, 2010

Not in a mood (Day 34)

When it rains on winter season there's nothing that i wanted to say, i'd rather stay inside a blanket (i'm now) instead of writin a blog that nobody read but i just can't stop writing my blog. Oh God !! I'm actually writing of me not wanting to write a blog. Sweet !! I'm off to warmderland :D Day 34.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

Miss Kut (Day 33)

Holy Moly !! Miss Kut (that was held last night) winner for this year gets 1 lakh rupees as a prize money. I think last year winner get about 50k rupees so its a huge jump in prize money (2lakh 25k rupees in total for top 3). I'm not saying that we are wasting money on this, all i'm saying is that Kut festival's Miss Kut is a big crowd puller and if the organiser contact and try to affiliate the contest with some top fashion school of India and give out scholarship to the winners then "Miss Kut" will become more meaningful, it could be a launchpad for this girls. Day 33.

Monday, November 1, 2010

Petrolllll ?? (Day 32)

Happy Kut !! What do you do to buy some fuel for your vehicle ?? I figure you drive to the pump give money to the attendent and they will filled up ur vehicle. Thats how normally we buy fuel for our vehicle. On other hand here in Manipur - since Naga organisation blocked national highway (our lifeline) to boycott Manipur's economic, it hit us pretty bad with food shortage and other utilities with that all the price were raise to double the amount we usually pay - we have to stand in a queue for hours, that too just to buy a mere 5 litres of fuel. I once wait 24hrs and got 5litres, sleep inside a car but today was different, we bought 40litres in 2hrs, standing in short queue for 4 times. I think its getting normal day by day, in about a month time the service will resume completely. I hope. Day 32.

Sunday, October 31, 2010

Plan is for planner (Day 31)

When we say party you will imagine 50 people + cases of beer + loud music + girls, well don't !! cuz here, our party equation is (6 friends + 2/3 kgs of meat + FIFA07 on PC). So, today me and 5 of my friends plan to have lunch party and to visit Asian Cine Week. Well, you all know by now that i'm trying to watch a movie there and today is the last day of it and my last chance to watch a movie at the festival. The day start on wrong foot. My friend and my cousin bro have already ate their lunch, they thought we won't organise our little lunch party. We contribute the money and went to buy all the things that required for the party and while returning home my Activa (two wheeler) ran out of fuel and as petrol pump are closed so we look everywhere to buy a litre of petrol from a black petrol seller at steep price. That delayed our schedule by 1hr so, when we finished cooking and eating, the time was already 4pm. Well, let just say i'll have to wait for another "Cine week" to get organised before i can watch a Japanese movie at the festival. Day 31.

Saturday, October 30, 2010

Yeah, right !!! (Day 30)

I saw an announcement some days back that they are organising a Asian Cine week and will show some of the award winning Japanese documentary film. So as i'm very interested in foreign movies i planned to watch it with some friends but something always come up at last minute and we always cancel the visit. Today was no different either, heard it will be over by tomorrow. Hope i could go, will wait and see. Day 30.

Friday, October 29, 2010

Winter+dust season (Day 29)

Well, it is just me or everything in around Imphal city looks dull and dusty ?? And itz one of the top 100 cleaniest city of India. I wonder how clean that top city is. If our dirty city is in 100 top city then that top city must not be like a heaven in cleaning department (just saying). Our city are in ruin cuz of all repairing things so, itz kinda a bit messy and as winter comes its even messier. Its dry in winter here so dust flying everywhere and making the road all fog up in evening. Well, if i got out for a drive outside then i should definitely wash my hair. :P having a great time here :) Day 29.

Thursday, October 28, 2010

Are Korean movies a bad influence to our youth ?? (Day 28)

I came across a topic called "is (south) korean film good for youth (of Manipur) ?" on Kangla Online (Manipur leading online news portal), the author's view is that since Korean film were introduced in Manipur, today's youth are abandoning their identity imitating the Korean style and learning to speak in Korean instead. The author think its not good to watch Korean movie. Well, my view is that since Korean movies were introduce to Manipur's youth, we are getting more independent and a lot better on fashion sense. Now when we go out of the state we doesn't look like a people from far away rural places. We get respect that we deserve from our country man frm other state. So, my view is it doesn't harm our youth but makes a better person. We dress like them but we never lose our identity or our culture by it. All i wanted to say is that its not wise to blame other's culture just because some of our youth turn into badass kid. FYI Korea are one of the leading producer of world changing technology and preserve their culture. Thats all. . . . Day 28.

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

Some problem (Day 27)

When i started this '1 post a day' thing, i know i'd face lots of deadline problem (i'm not comfortable with deadline) but have never thought my pc would break down, not just that i'm facing another problem cuz of frequent power cut. Well you all know i'm posting my blog from my cellphone and cuz of power cut i'm having 'battery low' crisis now, and at certain time of day mobile signal gets all time low, this kinda incident proves that nothing really works in Manipur, hope i get to see the change soon. P.S. I'm writing 1 post a day but i'm having problem in posting the blog and posting 2 post at same day doesn't look good so, even if i post the blog a day late i'd tweak a bit to show the actual date of writing. Thank You. :) Day 27.

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

The wait (Day 26)

Last night i went to bed to sleep at 3am but wake up at 4am and found out that the sun still haven't rise yet. So, with my gear(camera) i went upstairs and wait for the sun to rise fighting against the cold wind. After waiting for 1hour the sun never came out, there was too many dark clouds over the sky. Well, the wait wasn't wasted as the moon were bright and worth looking at it (yeah, somehow the moon's path weren't so cloudy). I will someday capture the sunrise, till then i'm enjoying the rain. Happy capturing. Day 26.

Monday, October 25, 2010

Sweet revenge (Day 25)

There was a time when my friends were telling me i'm addicted to internet and giving me names like online man, netman, etc etc. . . But today it has change ;) thanks to GPRS i turn all my friends to net man themselves. After showing them the magic of internet world they are all hook to it now. They thought they could stop my 10yrs of addiction to internet easily *evil laugh*. so people BEWARE !! don't try to change me, i'm good with the way i'm ;) if you try i'd turn you into me :P ciao :) Day 25

Far cry (Day 24)

Why North East state of India and Jammu & Kashmir are the only places with "Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958" ?? Why not in places where Naxalite-Maoist are on full swing ?? I don't want the other states to have this outdated and colonial era law which gives an army officer to shoot and killed a person by mere suspicious but if our own Goverment sees fit to still impose this act to our state then other disturbed area should also be under this law. Why only us ?? Is it because we are a bit different from others ?? Or our government which run the largest democracy country in the world is racist ?? There's so many question we want to ask but as they have no ears we can't do anything besides writing here and there about it. 100 of people makes more sound than 1 person. #justsaying Day 24.

Saturday, October 23, 2010

Black Day. (Day 23)

Today is a sad day for me. Its official now, i haven't got any computer in working condition. Both my desktop PC and Laptop, which is more than 3yrs old both died of old age. Well if i tweak a bit it might work again but thats another thing. And i can't believe that both combine price is rs.1lakh when i bought it, i think i can get "new" of my Desktop PC and Laptop configuration for rs 30thousand only. Computer price really fall down very fast. My target now is a new netbook :P wish me luck :) oi, i'm blogging from my mobile so, no worry ;) (thats why my post format looks shit) Day 23.

Friday, October 22, 2010

CAPS LOCK DAY. (DAY 22)

DID YOU KNOW 22ND OCTOBER IS "INTERNATIONAL CAPSLOCK DAY" ?? IT IS :) WELL I DIDN'T KNOW IT EARLIER BUT I STUMBLED ON TWITTER EARLIER TODAY, AND SEARCH IT ON GOOGLE TO SEE WHAT IT IS ABOUT. IT SEEMS CAPS LOCK DAY IS A PARODIC HOLIDAY THAT WAS FIRST STARTED BY DEREK ARNOLD (NO IDEA WHO HE IS) IN 2000. HE THINKS ON THIS DAY EVERYONE SHOULD TYPE ONLY IN CAPS LOCK. IT LOOK STUPID BUT ITS PRETTY COOL ;) WELL, HAVE FUN WRITING LIKE THIS EVERY YEAR ON THIS DAY. DAY 22. P.S. DO NOT SHOUT WHEN YOU READ THIS POST. JUST READ NORMAL. ;)

Thursday, October 21, 2010

Committed. (Day 21)

Who said being in relationship (being committed to someone) is easy?? Its not. I have seen a lot of people fall under the immense pressure of being committing to someone. But like everything else in Life if you are willing to fight for it, you would never fall. If you want a relationship to work on, be sport in compromising. Thats all from my side. Day 21.

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

Free advice. (Day 20)

Alright kid gather around, your brother Sid would like to give you some advice. I know nobody like free advice but just hear me out okarey. So, tell me what you feel when your dad or your mum scold you ?? Angry, right? Well my advice is don't be. Be glad instead that you have someone who wants you to be good. Be angry only when you came home late or do something stupid and your mum and dad didn't say a word to you, that is the time when you should start thinking more before you do things. Do have fun with your life but you also should know when to stop things when it pass its limit. So long children. . . . take care. Day 20.

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Scam awareness (Day 19)

Are we that dumb ?? Rs. 30crore duped by pyramid scheme fraud in Manipur. If this is the first time, i won't use the word 'dumb' but this must be 5/6 time people were duped by this - looks legit - business know as Pyramid Scheme. As the name suggest its a pyramid based business, you have to recruit 2/3 people under you and they will recruit some under them so on making a pyramid. Its a fact that 99% of the people who join this scam will loss their money and that 1% will make money out of that 99% people who lost. That 1% are people who were on top of pyramid and they are just a fancy ad that the business work (it isn't, don't be dumb) and those 1% of people doesn't gain anything. Latest scam in Manipur duped Rs30crore from 2000 people, on average 1 person lost about rs 4lakh thats a lifetime saving for some. Just think what will you do if someone duped all of your saving ?? Yes, thats exactly what those 2000 people try to do at that 1%. Just days after that situation another "that kinda business" organised a seminar saying nothing like that would ever happen to their company (looks legit right ?? I also think the same), we will see. All i can say to people of Manipur is that, don't be dumb and be aware about this kinda scam and watch out >>>you don't want to lose your hard earn saving and most importantly your family and friends<<< BEWARE ;) Day 19.

Monday, October 18, 2010

Trance like situation. (Day 18)

Okay, i just found out something. It seems my poetic mind turn on only during night time, when i was suppose to sleep. Well i wrote 1 or 2 during day time but abt 90% were wrote after midnight. It is when my mind get tired and started wondering around my head, its like i write only when i'm in trance -like dancing trace- or something like that. psst. . . don't tell anyone. ;) Day 18.

Headacheeee !!! (Day 17)

16 days in a row and a headache almost make me skip my 17 day post but it will definitely shorten my post for today. Cuz writing with a headache head is like hammering myself a nail in my head. I can't think of anything beyond my headache. Ah, what the hell !! I'm off to rest. Day 17

Career no. 2 ?? (Day 16)

I'm a lousy lensman, who doesn't have any professional camera but deep in Love with photography. I don't know how, when or where but i've always got an interest in photography from early days. I remember buying my 1st camera (Chinese made) for 1k when i was like 13yrs old and since film roll wasn't cheap, i didn't take much. Then the whole camera in mobile phones things happen and makes my interest rise, took thousands of photos. But like my writing skills i'm still in learning phase for photography too. Hope someday i could be someone who's pretty good with camera. Day 16.

Death?? (Day 15)

When life was like hell for the past yrs to a point of self killing and finally like a sun smilling at you or like your teachers praising for you, my life been much better. So good that it scares me to death. I'm afraid that someday without warning all this happiness that i'm feeling will take away again. You know when jail give a convicted fellow (who's gonna hang) his choice of food for his last meal, i don't know why but i feel the same. And i shouldn't be afraid to face death but i'm kinda little afraid of it. For real i don't want to die, not now. I just hope "The One" is not planning to take me in so soon. Taking care of myself. Day 15

We did it. (Day 14)

WE DID IT !! We successfully host the 19th Commonwealth Games 2010, Delhi being the host city. The best thing about this year games is out athletes were at their best winning 38 Gold medal, 101 medals in total and finishing at 2nd behind Australia making a Games history for us. Our player performed well in every event that they participates in. I wasn't expecting much from closing ceremony but it was pretty amazing. Fireworks and the lights was just too terrific and the Games itself were finished without a major incident (except India going down 8 nil in Hockey final). Next host city is Glasgow in 2014, Scotland. Hope India perform well there in 4yrs :) Day 14

Career no. 1 ?? (Day 13)

I start writing because i was depressed at that time and now i want to be a full time writer because i'm very happy with my life. I know i'm not a good writer but i'm trying really hard to improve it. For example, i'm doing this 1 post a day thingy just to improve my writing and prepare myself in handling deadline and all. I'm only on my 13th post now and its already getting on my nerve, for real with frequent power cut and our shit internet, it just get harder day by day. I'm hoping it will become easier to write after a month or so. Life is short but my blog is even shorter ;) Day 13.

Little reward (Day 12)

We set out with a camera in our hand to capture the flooded area in Manipur. Lots of houses, paddy fields are destroyed cuz of that flood. In a way driving in the water was kinda fun but that fun thing for me doesn't last. I hurt myself on my left foot and had to take a Tetanus shot. I had it on my arms and its killing me, can't move at all. Well thats my reward for trying to ve fun while others are suffering. Day 12.

Candle (Day 11)

Its that time of year again. We cleaned up the work place, oiled the machines and bought plates of wax. Yes, Deepawali (festival of light) is nearing so we are making some colourful candles !! Making candles used to be year long business for many but with market of local made candle dying it became once a year business. The thing is the cost of production rise and getting a wax became really difficult so we stop making candles for a while and people needed the candle, thats when people of Manipur were introduced to Burma candle. It was cheap and doesn't leave any wax when burned means not messy, in short better quality than local made one. And since they doesn't make coloured candle we got Deepawali market. The beauty of making candle is that the factory is operate by all of the family member. One do the making, another packing and selling. They all chip in helping each other making it to run the factory for just 2 weeks time and all will be normal again waiting for next year season when we all start the same process again. . . Making, Packing and Selling. Day 11.

Developed country?? (Day 10)

24hrs of rain and most of the places, in and around Imphal are flooded. For a year the Manipur Government closed down the most of the road in Imphal City for building a new drainage system. The drainage system which will fix all of the water clogging problem we suffered during monsoon. With this heavy rainfall we finally tested our newly build drainage system but it seems to me the water are still clogging somewhere. We suffered for a year for nothing, and we thought it will be all worth it. Actually I'm not suprised with all of this, what can we expect from the government who spend crores of rupees to build National Institute of Technology (NIT) which lacks a state of art lab and faculty. Our's is the state which is the driving force for India's vision of being a developed country by 2020. Day 10

Imagine (Day 9)

John Lennon, you were already gone when i was born, for that i'm little disappointed but still you manage to inspire me and millions of others to #Imagine. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOHN LENNON. John Lennon, the man who keeps telling people to "give peace a chance" and to "Imagine" a better world turns 70 today, if only he were alive today. He's been gone for 30yrs already but still he give us the inspiration to bring a completely Peace in this peace-less world. He was a dreamer and we all wanted to tell him he weren't the only one, we all are with him. I regret not being born during his era. "You either get tired fighting for peace, or you die." - John Lennon Day 9.

Problem Solved (Day 8)

Thank God !! I'm just a Bookaholic :) "A developed India by 2020, or even earlier, is not a dream. It need not be a mere vision in the minds of many Indians. It is a mission we can all take up - and succeed." - APJ Abdul Kalam. Everyone knows that without electric power there won't be any developed country. Abdul Kalam's Vision 2020 includes getting electric power to every nook and cranny of our country but here in Manipur, the way i see it, we are going back in time. 20hrs of power cut daily doesn't do any good to our former President's Abdul Kalam vision of Developed India by 2020. To think of it, every problem that arises in Manipur are the cause of poor Electric Power distribution in our State. UNEMPLOYMENT: Most small business are run with the help of electric power. so, if we get adequate power then about 30% of those without job can start a small business. CORRUPTION: with unemployment rate rising and with little job available, people are desperate to get a job, here the one who can give out a job take advantage of the situation and start selling job for money. Thats the start of corruption. So, when people aren't desperate to get a job with the unemployment rate dropping (most of them start small business), selling a job won't work. thus corruption level drop. SHORTAGE OF POWER: well, lets just say with most of the people having a job, paying an electric bill won't be a problem. INSURGENSY: When people are living a comfortable life, why start a revolution ?? Day 8.

Shopaholic ?? Me?? (Day 7)

"Why??" they asked, when i bought another book. "I love reading" was my answer but deep inside i know its not the only reason. I mean if thats the only reason then i could read it off internet, there's plenty of places that i can a book from. I don't know its good thing or not but i'm obsessed with books. Its like i'm addicted to it, when i see a book store i got this urge to abandon whatever i'm doing just to go inside it and look the beauty of the book myself n the smell of the paper its just so nice. Maybe if you ask some shopaholic, they will tell you the same. What the Fuck ?? am i becoming a shopaholic ?? no no no way. this is a very big realization, i'm off to think. damn you blog for making me realize. Day 7.

"Longest Journey" (Day 6)

". . . coming out of the arrival terminal he start looking around for a familiar face, his heart racing and soon enough he saw her, standing there alone with the look of happiness on her face staring at him. He's been waiting for this moment for a long time that it hurts if he tried to remember it. He went near her not saying a word, she didn't say anything too. They keep staring to each other eyes, then he lean on and kiss her on lips. Thats when he finally spoke, 'I Love You' shyly she replied that she Love him too. They walk out of the airport holding hands and took a taxi ride to his hotel, inside the taxi they are still holding hands." to be continue on my book ;P Its just something i'm working on it ;P tell me if you like it but don't judge the grammatical error, its editor's job. take care ya'll ;) Day 6.

Music is part of my life !! (Day 5)

Music !! Its always been part of my life. I tried to remember the first song i really like and could only remember one song, its "Jumma chumma de de" from a movie called "Hum" back in 1991. The funny part is i really don't speak hindi or know any word of it then, but that doesn't stop me from singing or humming that song everywhere. Well, i finally stop singing that song when i found out the meaning of that line "Jumma chumma de de" (Jumma kiss me) :D lets just say i got embarrassed. With music, all i did was listen. I didn't try to create it or try to learn how to play wit any musical instrument. I regret not learning to play any instrument but there's still a lifetime to learn, right? after 20yrs of listening to music i have been trying to give something back to music, i'm trying to write song lyrics so that someday who knows how to sing can send out the song to the world. My dad writes lyrics so that kinda influenced me to write and i know i can, maybe someday you'd be humming one of my songs. . . someday someday. Day 5.

I want a JOB !! (Day 4)

Elders normally asked me what class i'm in before but these days they are asking about my job. The only problem is, i don't have one. Searching for a part time job here is quite difficult as i'm fat (they think fat people are lazy, which is part correct :P) and most of the part time job are given by referral. There is no one on my side which can recommend me to some small firm, so that i can have a job. I can only pray to God for a job (btw God's kinda listenin to me much these days), maybe God will find one for me. There's nothing i could write today so i'll just wrap it up for today. Day 4.

BAM !! At your FACE !! (Day 3)

For months, most of our politician, news channels, citizen of India and rain were targeting India's preparation for "Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010", some even telling in Live television that they will pray so that India fail in hosting this sporting event. We all know that hosting this big event will cost a hell lot of money but still its wrong to sell our own country in front of other nation just months away from grand opening. For sports having to host an international event and participating as host player is a great pleasure to them, and because of this event all of Delhi's stadia are inovated and is now a world class venue. Practicing in a world class equipment will only make our players well prepared for coming International event, and them performing well will make us proud. Besides that Delhi, will have better infrastucture too. So, hosting Commonwealth doesn't waste all of ours money.

To all the haters India declared the games open with a BANG !! The opening ceremony that was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was one of the most Lively and Colourful event ever. Kudos to Delhi/Commonwealth Games committee for making us all proud to be an INDIAN. The event was full of colourful Indian culture and finish it off with A.R. Rahman's Jai Ho.

WELCOME TO INDIA

Gandhigiri (Day 2)

Today is the day we all celebrate "non-violence" day, Mahatma Gandhi's birthday.

To me, if there's Love, there's Peace and for Love to work out you need to learn how to compromise. If Hindu & Muslim were to compromise, there must be Peace in Indian Sub-continent. Gandhi sacrifice so much, even his life for this country well being and now we people aren't even stay alcohol free for a day (today is dry day in respect for him). Time has changed, people are changing. Someday there will be a time when Mahatma Gandhi, Our Father of Nation will be just an old man on our 100 rupees notes. To not let this happen, we as a responsible Indian should spread his words to our youngster, gift a book abt him to a kid, tweet his wisdom, put out his wikipedia link, do whatever you need to do and lets not make this great man lost in our history.

"If we are to teach Peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children." - Mahatma Gandhi.

Getting Started (Day 1)

I always wanted to try my hand on writing an article a day for a year when i first saw a movie called "Julie & Julia" but that was a long time ago, maybe a year back (i think). Well, actually she (Julia) challenge herself to cook some 524 recipes in a year setting herself a goal and for me writing an article a day for a year is equally challenging so i thought i'd try my hand on it but too bad i never had the courage to start it.

Now, i got two reason for starting it. 1. I just saw Gretchen completed her 'an article a day for a year' blog some days back (she's still continuing) & 2. I was so near of being dead.

So, here i am, writing my 1st of many for my 'an article a day for a year' blog challenge. I just hoped i get inspired everyday to write little something :) Wish me Luck !!

Love Life

Have you ever heard the song “Way back into Love” from the OST of “Music & Lyrics”?? There’s this phrase and it goes like this “I need inspiration not just another negotiation” just like that I really need an inspiration to go on with my life, not just another negotiation. In short, a way into LOVE, not the way “back” into LOVE as I have never been into LOVE before, I do have fallen or felt in LOVE thrice, too bad none of it works. One: Never get a chance to tell her my feeling. Two & Three: Both turns down. Well living miles away and never meet the person or might never gonna meet them, I respect their decision. So, here I am, all alone & lonely writing about my FUCKED up life just so, I could feel good about myself (for a change). Ya it really get frustrated sometime not having someone close to me, which I can share a thing or two from time to time, or when you saw your friends talking to their someone (ya I do get jealous sometimes). Okay, enough for today here. Please do check my other blog (www.sidish6.blogspot.com) and comment on it ;D thanks for reading.

On my Journey of Life/Writing.

Every person before he/she turn 10yrs of age realize what they will become when they grow up. I always thought I would become a DOCTOR (don’t laugh). That, of course was just a dream of 9yrs old ME! That dream like all other dream that i dreamt at that time were shattered after I found out that I actually am not very good with studies (academically I mean). After that when I was around 13yrs, I found this book about Brain called "Horrible Science: Bulging Brains" (it was my brother’s copy) that book was such a page turner that i finished reading it in like 1hr or so, that was my first reading experience of a novel (or just say book about brain). It was like love at first sight, I knew it then "I want to be a writer" but I didn’t write anything until (after reading 50books) I wrote something out of my depression.

“My Life”
I was born, I don’t know why?
I got no aim, my life is boring.
Sometime I think about ending it,
But there’s a faint voice telling me to write instead.
So, I’m doing it.

After writing this piece, I feel the blood running in my vein again and I thought “oh, this is what being alive means. I love it”. With my new found talent (my friend says it is) I start a blog (www.sidish6.blogspot.com) where I post all my poem (things I write) so that people could read it and the good part is people actually read my blog and sometime comment on it, which inspired me enough to keep writing and I can finally say “I’m Happy”. I do get depressed sometime but now I just can write it off and make myself happy again. Thanks to everyone who read and comment on my writing and for letting me go on with life, love you all.
